Given how much I love traditional British summer events, getting dressed up and um, sipping on prosecco all day, it's hard to believe I'd never actually made it to Ascot until a couple of weekends ago. Invited along with a few other gorgeous ladies by the lovely girls at Wallis, I had the best day indulging in some delicious food, placing some poor bets and wearing the most beautiful total Wallis outfit – all from the comfort of our very plush private box!
After travelling down together from London, we kicked off the day with canapés and bubbles on our terrace before taking a seat for an incredible 4-course lunch at the table set up so beautifully for us! Giving ourselves a little break before dessert, we wandered down to the stalls below to place our first bets and get a close look at the magnificent horses. Having been to the races a few times when I was younger, I forgot how exhilaratingly fun it is right up by the course cheering your horse on as they thunder past! Unfortunately, I didn't win anything all day but still had so much fun having a go – even if they were only £2 bets hehe.
I don't like to go to OTT with occasion wear, but absolutely adored my outfit for Ascot. I had so many compliments on this gorgeous ruffle lilac dress. Super figure flattering with the most gorgeous neckline, it's a perfect choice for weddings, races or summer parties this season. Not to mention how gorgeous the colour looks with a tan. I teamed it with a simple white jacket (we are in the UK after all!), my Gucci Marmont and some killer gorgeous suedette grey heels by Wallis that I'm just so obsessed with.
