Floral Scuba

. February 11, 2014 .

I wore this out for dinner last week and was suffering from the worst cold and cough, what better way to make yourself feel better than getting dolled up and eating good food? I forgot just what a difference a red lip can make to an outfit, I love the way it picks up the tones in my skirt. Apologies for looking pretty windswept in these photos. It was actually a pretty nice day but the WIND in London at the moment oh-my-god, almost enough to send me flying off my pointy courts!
This skirt is by Paper Dolls and I spotted it in Banks 'Botanical Gardens' trend section. It's made of a light neoprene 'Scuba' fabric which makes it hold a really good shape, I love the side split too. I paired it with a sheer blouse, I've been meaning to get myself a black one for a while now- they're look smart and go with just about any outfit if you're stuck for a top, I've worn it quite a few times already. The wide sleeves on it are really flattering too, not something you see a lot of elsewhere.
I'm currently in the midst of trying to balance LFW preparations with Uni coursework which is super stressful, but I've had a few surprise invitations come through over the past couple of days which is really exciting! Hope to see some of your lovely faces on the cobbles.
