Simon Ekrelius AW14 'Monochromatic'

. February 05, 2014 .

Last week I went along to the Simon Ekrelius 'Monochromatic' AW14 preview. Inspired by model and photographer Lee Miller, her relation ship with photography, energy and secrets the collection had a feeling of "something not told" the press release read.
This was evident in the designers use of panelled and pleated pieces in organza and silk. Now if you know me you know I totally crush on sheer things, so some key pieces for me were the sleeveless black panelled dress and voluminous white blouse, some beautifully eye-catching pieces yet totally wearable.
I also really appreciated the attention to detail in his collection with the hand-pleated pieces and effects created with spray paint, and what's also great about Simon Ekrelius is that everything is made in the UK from start to finish.
I hope you enjoy my snaps of the collection, let me know what you guys think!
