First Coat of the Season

. September 04, 2014 .

Lo and behold, my first AW14 coat. And what an eye-poppingly pretty one it is, why I've previously shied away from orange I don't know; this one has me head over heels and dare I say it a little excited for the winter season. Especially with the way it compliments distressed denim, and denim-hued houses for that matter.

Today’s outfit is something I styled up for Debenhams and their new Oxfor circus display, I’ll be instagramming some photo’s when it’s on the maniquin, but the coat, top and bag all feature in my ‘Juicy Orange’ trend look. The whole conecept is so cool, super-market style trolleys a la Chanel – you must pop in if you’re on Oxford Street! This boucle orange coat by Red Herring is going to be such a hero piece for brightening up dismal winter outfits. I’ve already worn this Preen Edition top to a couple of events this week, it’s minimal drape is so simple but effective. Oh, and the bag. Sweet Jesus the bag. So much beauty in a little piece of red leather, this one will definitely be coming to Fashion Week with me!
Sorry for the sporadic posting – fashion month preparations are crazy crazy, but we finally booked our Paris apartment today, which was last on the list of travel-things to do. All systems go from here!
