HERO PIECES

. December 02, 2015 .

Dressing for the festive season doesn't always have to be all about garish knitwear (though I do love a good Christmas knit) and splashes of red. Simply injecting a warmer hue like these maroon kick-flares is a nods to the time of year and still has me feeling festive.

Reiss jacket & blouse* River Island trousers* (now £17)
Adidas Stan Smiths via Asos* | Balenciaga bag
Daisy Dixon watch*

This outfit is actually formed entirely of recycled pieces from London Fashion Week. Doing what I do I inevitably become engrossed with fast fashion but it's also really important for me to have some key, quality pieces that I'll wear time and time again. I've lived in this Reiss military jacket since my LFW fitting, it's been a great transitional piece and is so comfortable and lightweight which makes it perfect for throwing over knitwear. The deep navy also looks great with the warmer hue of these trousers and make for a lovely AW palette.

These Indigo Stan Smiths have also seen me right through this AW, they're so comfortable and warm I barely prize them off my feet - I even wore them with this look to a Christmas party the other day!

Hope you enjoyed this look folks! Stay tuned for lots more Christmassy goodness coming up on Style Confessional.
