During our time at Paris Fashion Week, we were invited to experience afternoon tea at Le Bristol Paris. Having visited the beautiful grounds of the hotel for various presentations and shows over the seasons, I've always admired the grand decor and elegant, luxury elements of Le Bristol so was really excited to try out their Le Jardin Français to it's full effect. As it was a chilly March afternoon, we dined in the indoor section of the restaurant which is equally as beautiful.
After taking a perch at a lovely window table, our wonderful waiter explained the menu and we decided on the Le Bristol High Tea. Sipping on an elegant earl grey from china cups we waited in eager anticipation for our silver tower of treats to arrive, soaking up the atmosphere of Le Jardin Français. The soft pink and yellow hued room is adorned with crystal chandeliers hanging from blue-sky painted ceilings - super dreamy and an absolute little haven, especially during the madness of fashion week. We also spied the ever-elegant Rosamond Pike a few tables down, dressed impeccably in head to toe Dior before the show, enjoying her own spot of afternoon tea.
When our food arrived we couldn’t wait to tuck in, though it was almost too pretty to eat, almost. Each piece was expertly crafted by their excellent chefs. Included were mini club sandwiches, smoked salmon croissants, lemon madeleines, gold leaf raspberry tarts and nutella macaroons, to name just a few of my favourites. Each mouthful was absolutely delicious, made even more marvellous by accompanying bubbles of Moët Chandon. As tasty as it all was, we couldn’t quite finish it all so were sent away with a box full of treats that made for the most perfect breakfast the following day!
Following the food, it was time to freshen up (and of course take a selfie) in their gorgeous bathrooms. You may have already seen on my snapchat (lucia_grace), it was here I bumped into the absolute legend that is Anna Wintour! And even got a smile returned. Waiting for our Uber we also got to enjoy a live pianist in the hotel foyer which was a perfect end to the afternoon. Thanks so much to Le Bristol for having us, it was such a lovely experience and an absolute must if you’re in Paris - visit their website for more details here.
