The Party Series #1: Suiting Up

. November 21, 2016 .
Though I don't get to do loads of it anymore, fewer things make me happy than getting ready with my girlfriends for a night out. From finding the perfect outfit to splurging on those probably too expensive sparkly shoes, I truly love the party season. It's those glittery champagne-fuelled evenings that brighten up the gloomy winter months and of course, it's the best excuse to play dress up.

That being said, I introduce to you Style Confessional's new party series! Every week, from now until Christmas, I'll be sharing with you my five top party looks to see you through the season – of course with plenty of time to order the outfit before the weekend.

Kicking off the series is this gorgeous suit by my faves at Wallis. They kindly gifted it to me to wear to their incredibly delicious press dinner at Bob Bob Ricard earlier on this month and I've been obsessed with it ever since. Suits are a chic way to dress up, especially if you're not all about a glitzy party dress or need something smarter for a work do. This jacket and trouser from their petite range is a sleek take on partywear, but the metallic rose gold detailing keeps it fun and festive.

I teamed it here with a simple choker blouse, but think it'll look just as chic with a metallic cami or turtleneck knit too. And finally, no winter party look should be complete without a perfect coat to keep us warm come 2am, waiting outside the bar for an uber. I've been wearing this robe camel one non-stop lately and it's been a total security blanket with this transition to icy weather!
