Feminising the Puffa

. December 15, 2016 .
An unlikely contender on the fashion circuit, the puffa jacket has been having a major moment this season and I’m finally cottoning on to the obsession. Like many, I was a bit sceptical of the trend at first. I mean, how flattering can a super-padded outer garment really be?

Turns out quite, actually. They look really cool, and not to mention it’s like leaving your house wearing your duvet – super warm, what more could you want this time of year? Balanced with the right outfit, I’ve a new found love for these puffy wardrobe heroes. So much so I got this one in the burgundy colour way too (which is as you can imagine, pretty dreamy).

I wanted to keep the vibe pretty casual, but felt like pairing it with trainers and jeans would be a little too normcore and something I don’t usually pull off all that well. So of course, I paired it with the most feminine skirt I could find for the perfect outfit juxtaposition. I didn’t buy them together, but this Primark (believe it or not!) skirt is just the perfect matching tone which makes the contrasting pieces sit together perfectly. A combo I couldn't resist that's resulted in one of my favourite autumn winter looks.

Hope you enjoyed this feminine take on this season's hottest coat trend. I'd love to hear what you think of the puffa. Is it a trend you'll be trying, how would you style it?
