Brixton

. August 01, 2014 .

I can't believe it's taken be almost a year to venture out to Brixton. There's still so much of London I haven't explored so finding new places is one of my favourite things to do on a day off. And with the insane heat we've been having, I decided it was time to check out the Brockwell Lido in Brixton.

Of course I managed to find the prettiest little florist for the perfect backdrop. This was jus around the corner from Brockwell Lido. I'm so glad Lizzy and I decided to go, it's honestly a little haven in the middle of London, I felt like I was abroad! Yes, there were a lot of kids messing about and screeching, but come 4pm the atmosphere was really chilled and the water was just so lovely to swim in. I'll definitely be making a few more trips here towards the end of summer. I think the pool slides are the only thing poolside-appropriate about this outfit, extremely easily creased tee and heavy wool skirt where perhaps not the best two components, but I loved this summery look none the less. Also check some of my favourite new jewellery pieces from Lumo and Joshua James, haven't stopped wearing them!
In other news I'm off on a very exciting trip to Paris next week courtesy of Ugg Australia and their #bestdaysofsummer campaign. I'm taking my number one lady, my mum, with me and I cannot wait to spend a fun few days in my favourite city with her. Stay tuned!
