We picked up the pace a bit on on our third day in Paris. From shows at Palais de Tokyo to showroom appointments in Le Marais, we spent the day hopping from one location to the next - not forgetting to stop now and then at corner café's for cappuccinos and croque monsoirs. As it was such a lovely day, we decided to walk from our apartment in Trocadero down to the Champs Élysées, making a pitstop at La Belle Férroniére on Rue Pierre Charron for some mid-morning refreshements. This little café is an awesome spot to people watch and if you go around 11/12am the sun will be hitting the tables outside.

After shooting our looks, we had an appointment at the Salasai showroom where we had the chance to explore the Australian brand's AW collection. As much as I love the theatrics of a fashion show, visiting showrooms enables you to really get up close and personal with the garments. The collection was fresh and understated and being an Aussie based brand, everything was super trans-seasonal too. My favourite pieces were on the dreamy white/grey rail pictured, the grey bobble knit was just everything. Check out more from Salasai here.

Next up it was back over to the 16th for Rahul Mishra AW16 show. This collection was quite a highlight for me this season Full of mesmerising geometric prints, the garments were made so wearable by beautiful tailored and draped dresses. The palette was mostly navy and white (so dreamy), then transitioning into monochromatic shades with occasional flashes of reds, crafted through indian techniques of tie dye and batik. Pairing these pretty feminine pieces with messy hair braids and refreshing flatform kicks (hell yes to comfy shoes) the collection was effortlessly cool.

To finish our third day in the city, we treated ourselves to a delicious dinner at one of my favourite Parisian restaurants, Le Scossa (Place Victor Hugo), which happened to be just a short 10 minute walk from our Trocadero apartment. Not only is the food incredible here (XXL escargot for me and truffle scrambled eggs for Liz) but the atmosphere and decor contribute to quite the special place to eat. The ceilings are covered in old wooden fans and ivy, dotted with giant filament light bulbs whilst the rest of the restaurant consists of pretty fireplaces, a decadent bar and plenty of twinkling candles - it's honestly a little paradise in the heart of the city, and absolute must if you're in the Eiffel Tower/ Trocadero Area.

Recounting all of my Parisian adventures is only increasing my longing to be back in my favourite city, so much so Dave and I might be heading over the channel next week for my Birthday. So, I do hope you guys won't be getting bored of these french stories any time soon! Shop my outfit below x

  1. Looking cool! I am regular reader of your blog. I enjoyed. I just loved your cute sling purse. You can also use this purse as a clutch purse for spring parties.
