The Jumpsuit Day to Night in NYC

. October 27, 2016 .
I've just returned from what was an incredible trip to New York City. It's been my third time visiting the big apple – the first I was around 7 on a family holiday and the second I was on a school trip, so you could say it's the first time I've seen the city as an adult properly, cosmopolitans and all. Though, don't get me wrong, I was like a kid at Christmas in the lead-up and for the majority of the trip. It's safe to say I've fallen head over heels for this city all over again and am already planning a return trip next year!

I'll be doing a detailed city guide, travel vlog and hotel reviews in the coming week, so be sure to stay tuned for those. But for now, I'm kicking off my New York posts with some of my favourite photos that Lizzy and I shot out there for a day-to-night take on this gorgeous jumpsuit. It's one of those pieces that Zara just absolutely nail and for a crazy good price, this jumpsuit comes in at just £29.99! And what's great about it is that it's such a versatile seasonal piece. I love that it's a heavy woven fabric that makes it so season appropriate, but I've linked a couple of linen versions below if you're after something a bit lighter!

For day time, it looks chic layered over a rollneck or blouse, I opted with this sassy flare sleeve cream number (sold out, similar here) that picks up on the light flecks in the jumpsuit perfectly. I practically lived in my Stan Smiths for the entirety of our New York trip, but especially love how they dress down the outfit for daytime. Can we just take a second to appreciate the gorgeousness of this adorable baker boy hat too? I stole it of Lizzy for this look and I'm so obsessed I'm ordering one myself, it's the most flattering hat ever and pulled the look together nicely – perfect for a morning meeting I had and our day at the MoMa.

Come evening time, I knew I didn't want to take off my new favourite jumpsuit. So instead, paired it with a new pair of killer sock boots by Public Desire and swapped the blouse for my go-to black leather jacket. It also got the approval from my new state-side girlfriends Ashley and Alyssa whom we spend the evening enjoying cocktails with in pretty Soho. All in all, a jam-packed but fun-filled day and this jumpsuit saw me the whole way through!

Hope you enjoyed this day-to-night feature, I love being able to show you guys more than one way to wear a key piece – leave me a comment if this is something you'd like to see more of! As always, thanks for reading and you can find links to all items featured below.
