January Blues

It's the week that everyone's back to work and to real life, I'm back in London and certainly feeling the January blues. I'm missing my family already and have come down with the worst cough and cold, not such a great start to 2014, at least i have the sales to cheer me up! Also excuse the not-so-good quality photo's, I forgot my camera so Alex and I had to use a Nikon (first time ever) from uni.

It's still pretty cold so I wrapped up warm today in my favorite Reiss knit (I'll never get tired of it's softness) and teamed it with my new skirt I picked up in the River Island sale. It's actually made of neoprene which is what gives it such a lovely shape. I haven't stopped wearing my Nike's since Christmas day, kind of willing them to go with every outfit although I'm not 100% on this one, feels very Lily Allen circa Smile era no? 

I had quite a bit of post accumulate over the holidays and one of the things waiting for me when I got back was this beautiful little key silver necklace by Jana Reinhart. It's so delicate but really catches your eye in the light, I haven't taken it off yet- hoping it will bring me good luck for the coming year!

So tomorrows the last day of 2013, it'd totally flewn by. With lot's of ups and downs *deep breath* including celebrating my last 'teen' birthday, going to London Fashion Week, celebrating a year with my boyfriend, finishing an internship, briefly interning at the New York Times Global, managing my mum's shop, going to some beautiful places including Majorca, Cornwall and Marbella, getting glandular fever (not so beautiful), moving to London, going to London Fashion Week again, starting BA Fashion Journalism at LCF, going to lots of events, parties and press day's and finishing my first term at uni. And after some much-needed time at home with my nearest and dearest these past couple of weeks, it's been a pretty good year, I'll be sad to see you go 2013, but I can't wait to see what 2014 brings. 

I've spent the last few days at Dave's with his family, it's still pretty cold so I wrapped up in a couple of my warm buys from the sales and teamed them with my beautiful new Nike's c/o the boyfriend! I've been thoroughly spoiled this Christmas, a present haul post is on it's way.

Easy Weekend

The highlight of my weekend was probably nipping to the shops to get some essentials. I've been so busy recently I needed a couple of days to chill and catch up on Uni work, not the most fun weekend but I feel a lot better for it. And although I didn't go out I had a hilarious Friday night in with my flat mates- Prossecco in your pajamas turns to very silly games. I wore this on Sunday morning on a trip to the shops to get some essentials, something easy but warm. I've been wearing the hell out of this Bank wet look tee- it seems to go with everything and the shiny texture gives any outfit an AW twist. I dressed it down today with my Nikes, ripped jeans and pink coat, something I'm also throwing over any outfit. My trusty Zara bag is great for holding all my shopping, I think it's a tad nicer than those 'bags for life' haha. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I wore this on Sunday on a trip to Carnaby St with my flatmate Iole, who did a fabulous job of taking these photos I might add! My Nike's arrived last week and oh my god I am in love. Not only are they like walking on air but are so breathtaking beautiful I nearly cried unboxing them. I really love dressing down outfits with Nikes, and especially how they look with long line blazers and coats- it's like Roshe's and my Zara jacket were made for each other! After a bit of shopping and outfit snapping we headed to a lovely little bar and shared the most delicious Mezze platter and bottle of wine for just £19! I've forgotten the name of it of course but it's the one opposite Cirque De Sois club - I actually went there too also last Friday, and what a night that was. I have so many photos ready to edit and post but I don't know where my time is going at the moment, so stay tuned and have a fabulous weekend!
