Hari's Hairdressers

. December 03, 2014 .

You may have noticed a slight change in my hair in my most recent blog posts, it's lighter, healthier and all-round more lovely with special thanks to the awesome team at Hari's Hairdressers.

I won’t lie, I’ve neglected my hair over the past year. I think I only cut it once and wasn’t giving it the TLC it really deserved. So when Hari’s reached out to me with an opportunity to try their service’s, I jumped at the chance to get my locks sorted out.

I actually walk past their Parsons Green salon most days on my way to the station and had always been intrigued by the vibrant-looking inside. The interior decoration is very eclectic yet classic with some really cool stand out mirror and lighting pieces. Upstairs the atmosphere is full of energy, I quickly understand how busy the salon is and suddenly feel very excited as I watch women with the most beautiful blow dry’s and cuts exit the salon as I wait.

I’m introduced to top colourist Salvadore who instantly puts me at ease, expertly talking me through options whilst carefully listening to everything I say I’m after. We decide on a half head of warm Balayage highlights and to brighten up my ombré here and there. Balayage is a free-hand highlighting technique, one I’ve never actually tried before, but I instantly prefer it as Salvadore works quickly and precisely through my hair without using heavy foils. He uses I think about eight different colours overall and talks me through how they will look, adding lighter bits here and there when I ask.

After a quick stint under some super high-tech rotating heaters I’m ready to be shampooed. For the lovely guy that washed my hair, magic hands would be an understatement. He offered me the most relaxing head massage; I can’t even begin to tell you guys how blissfully stress-relieving it was. Just what I needed in amidst my current university pressures!

It was then on to Sultan for my cut and blow dry. I’m always nervous of cutting my hair, but when you tell Sultan half an inch, it definitely means just half an inch! He took care in showing me just how much he was trimming off and always checked I was happy with the length, before creating the bounciest most beautiful blow dry my locks have ever had the pleasure of having. And, it lasted me a good few days. Swishing it side to side I couldn’t stop admiring the stunning array of shimmering colours Salvadore had chosen, I honestly can’t recommend his skills enough. I've included some shot's from inside the salon immediately post blow-dry and some shots in daylight so you can see the gorgeous colour properly.

A huge thank you to Salvadore, Sultan, Gabriella and the rest of the Hari’s team at Parson's Green for their wonderful service and making me feel so welcome. I am beyond happy with my new hair, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more pleased leaving a hair salon and haven’t stopped receiving compliments about it. So if you're looking for a total re-style, a visit to their 'Bun Bar' or the most perfect blow dry, Hari's is where you should head. It really is the best place to go for fabulous hair, and I can promise you’ll leave feeling just as gorgeous as you look.
