Zara Skort/ La Moda bag*/ Charity Shop shirt/ Primark sunglasses/ Marc Jacobs watch

Finally I've gotten round to shooting an outfit in my new Zara skort! I picked it up in London when I was doing the Croc's styling project form the new Zara Oxford Circus store (which is amazing btw). I saw it from the other side of the store and probably ran a little to quickly over to it and picked up the last small, struggling to contain my excitement that I'd finally found one in my size! I've literally worn it to death and its my new favourite item of clothing already, but I think this is one of my favourite looks with it, I love the electric blue with the white. I wore this for date night with Dave, we went to see The Hangover 3 which isn't actually all that despite the mixed reviews, we definitely had quite a few laughs.  I'm also super stoked with my new bit of arm candy from La Moda, I'm loving neutrals at the moment so the Kylie seemed the perfect choice for my new summer handbag. It's just the right size for my laptop, makeup and essentials and has lots of useful compartments inside, so it'll be an ideal carry on! I hope your all having a lovely weekend, I'm off to Cornwall for a few days on Tuesday so stay tuned for a seaside-y post when I'm back!

Weekend

. September 04, 2012 .

A few things I've picked up recently, mostly from a pre-festival shop! The tee isn't actually something I bought, rather found in amongst some old clothes of my mums. I'm really into palm-type prints at the moment and the fact that it has ombre in it makes it really cool and I had to pinch it! My new Levi's have already appeared on here in my last post, I bought them from urban outfitters just before Creamfields festival. I've had a few pairs of Levis cut off's before but none really fit that well so I was super happy to find this perfect-fitting pair, and they literally go with everything! They're so versatile I think I'll easily be able to carry them into A/W with some tights and jumpers. The dress and bra are both from h&m, the dress I picked up on my pre-festival shop also, it goes really well with my shorts and looks really cool with a dark body underneath. I've been wanting a triangle bra for a while now, after seeing them on various people *cough* Miley Cyrus in LOL (cringe.) I think they look really pretty under vests and low-cut tops, especially the lace (but expensive) ones. So I was pretty chuffed to find this simple but sweet one in a twin-pack for just £9.99. The black netted top is something I actually picked up from a charity shop this morning! It was only £3 and my size from Miss Selfridge. As you can probably see I have a bit of a think for netted-type things at the moment, I think they give an edge to any outfit and can easily be dressed up or down. And, last but not least my wonderful new hand chain, which is from Primark of all places! I love simple clean-cut gold jewellery and for only £2.50 I couldn't resist it, it falls so nicely when you wear it and makes wearing a piece of jewellery a little extra-special. I'm pretty sad summer's almost over now, as you can see I'm still hanging on through my outfits, but I'm excited about the year coming up. Hope you've all had an amazing summer too!

At last some photos a la SLR :) Outfit I wore for a meal out with my parents and boyfriend yesterday. It was a cute little restaurant by the river along the bath cycle path, and we went for a walk afterwards in the field opposite which I thought made a beautiful backdrop! I actually love all things orange at the moment so was very excited to pick up this lovely in the Topshop sale last week! I think the lace detail makes the colour very wearable and perfect for summer. I also wore it out last weekend and paired it with a harness and black wedges here. I think its best to pair it with neutral or very light colours as to avoid looking like a walking traffic cone, so for the daytime I wore it with my nude brogues and oversized light denim bum-bag and it was such a lovely day I didn't need to wear a jacket. Hope your all enjoying the weather as much as I am!

Dress - Topshop £15 (sale)

PS- meet my boyfriend Dave :) and Bigbury my dog sneaking into the photo!

Sorry these are just instagram photos! I didn't have my camera on me but the weather was really nice for an hour or two and I liked my outfit so thought I'd do a post on it. This top was actually an old t-shirt of my dads that he didn't want, and i really liked the dropped hem and oversized pocket detail on it so decided to have it for myself! I cut off both sleeves leaving a big gap at each side so you can wear a bandue underneath, one of my favourite laid-back looks. I paired it with an aztec skirt and gold necklace to dress up the dull colour a bit. I also was really excited to find my old brogues that I forgot I had! They're nude so go wit anything and also have cool little stud details, check my instagram for a closer shot @luciagrace :)
