Karma Clothing crop*/ Vintage Levi's & purse clutch/ Primark flatforms/ Thrifted chain/ Marc by Marc Jacobs watch & ring

One of my bank holiday weekend outfits! I hope your all spending the long weekend having lots of fun, I'm off to Badminton Horse Trials for the frst time tomorrow with my boyfriends family and mine which I'm very excited about. My friend told me dress code is denim hot pants and a tweed jacket, has anyone been before that could help me with an outfit choice? I've got a feeling it'll be too hot for my tweed! I even had to swap these jeans for a skirt today it was so warm- thank god the sun has finally come out to play. I always have to wear something high-waisted with a crop and my Levi's seemed the perfect fit for my new Karma Clothing crop. I've had my eye on checkerboard prints since that unforgettable SS13 Louis Vuitton show so when I clapped my eyes on this top I simply had to have it. What's great about Karma also is that their stuff is so reasonable, this crop only costs £5.99... I have a feeling this won't be the only item I own from there. Until next time ;)

DKNY vintage jumper £8, Papaya blue shirt £4, Hawai bathing suit £3 -  all various charity shops/ Gold chain - Flea Market/ Vintage Levis/ Marc Jacobs watch and ring/ Primark Nails

Well I certainly had a successful charity shop trip last Saturday. Me and the BFF took a trip out in Clifton (a convenient 10 minute walk from her halls) for a spot of lunch and afterwards decided to have a ponder through the charity shops on and behind White Ladies Road- I'm sure many of you Bristol folk will know this area well! It's actually like a little gold mine for finding bargains and gorgeous vintage stuff- I actually saw a girl pick up some shorts identical to the ones I'm wearing (mine are from Urban Outfitters!) and spotted a pair of vintage YSL jeans- they were a men's 34 and sadly just that little bit too big to pull off as a boyfriend jean. The first thing I picked up with the electric blue silk shirt, it's originally from Papaya. I tried it on as I don't actually own anything else that color and fell in love with it, I think it'll be a great piece for the summer with shorts or open over a bikini! Next up was the vintage bather, I'm a sucker for backless stuff and palm trees so I couldn't very well leave this baby on the rack- it's a teensie bit big but with the short's its perfect for festivals and I think it'll look great with a skater skirt. Last but not least my most triumphant buy; the vintage DKNY jumper. I didn't realize until after I bought it it's actually a child's age 8, but I think it makes for such a nice fit crop jumper. I've worn it so much in the past week already, it seems to go with everything! I also love how it looks with my new gold choker/chain. This is actually another bargain I picked up on the Sunday on a trip to the flea market, a very successful weekend indeed! Have you guys picked up any second-hand bargains lately? I'd love to see (:

Charity Shop Steals

A few things I've picked up recently, mostly from a pre-festival shop! The tee isn't actually something I bought, rather found in amongst some old clothes of my mums. I'm really into palm-type prints at the moment and the fact that it has ombre in it makes it really cool and I had to pinch it! My new Levi's have already appeared on here in my last post, I bought them from urban outfitters just before Creamfields festival. I've had a few pairs of Levis cut off's before but none really fit that well so I was super happy to find this perfect-fitting pair, and they literally go with everything! They're so versatile I think I'll easily be able to carry them into A/W with some tights and jumpers. The dress and bra are both from h&m, the dress I picked up on my pre-festival shop also, it goes really well with my shorts and looks really cool with a dark body underneath. I've been wanting a triangle bra for a while now, after seeing them on various people *cough* Miley Cyrus in LOL (cringe.) I think they look really pretty under vests and low-cut tops, especially the lace (but expensive) ones. So I was pretty chuffed to find this simple but sweet one in a twin-pack for just £9.99. The black netted top is something I actually picked up from a charity shop this morning! It was only £3 and my size from Miss Selfridge. As you can probably see I have a bit of a think for netted-type things at the moment, I think they give an edge to any outfit and can easily be dressed up or down. And, last but not least my wonderful new hand chain, which is from Primark of all places! I love simple clean-cut gold jewellery and for only £2.50 I couldn't resist it, it falls so nicely when you wear it and makes wearing a piece of jewellery a little extra-special. I'm pretty sad summer's almost over now, as you can see I'm still hanging on through my outfits, but I'm excited about the year coming up. Hope you've all had an amazing summer too!

Top - Principles (vintage)
Shorts - Vintage Levi's @ Urban Outfitters

Recent Purchaces

. June 30, 2012 .

Sorry for not posting much this week! I've been super busy with work and trying to get myself organised for my holiday next week. I had to go all the way down to London (5am coach) to get my passport renewed as it's all very last minute, but the four hour wait gave me some time to do a holiday shop! I headed straight to Oxford Street and into Topshop to find myself in the middle of the sale and picked up a couple of amazing bits ie, the above blouse. It was reduced to just £20 and is actually a couple of sizes bigger than what i usually wear but for the price and beautiful drape I couldn't resist it, I love how it fits and its perfect for summer and my holiday, it looks great with a bikini! However it also looks great to wear in the day or evening, because its very sheer i teemed it with a banduea and my high waisted Levis. I also picked up a bikini in there which I've had my eye on for quite some time, black gold and white with a Versace-type print, check my instagram for a pic (@luciagrace). Anyway hope you're all having a great summer and making the most of the summer sales! I'll be back in 8 days, with what i'm sure will be a massive holiday post :)
